Bishop Harvey L. Langford Jr was called by God to be a minister of the gospel for over 26 years. Bishop Langford has traveled around the world as an Army Combat Medic for 20 years. God blessed Bishop Langford with a vision for broken people to be healed and set free in Jesus’ holy name. With that vision on February 17, 2011, he founded and organized Liberty Grace Community Church [LGCC] of San Antonio, Texas where he is the Senior Pastor for.
He established LGCC from humble beginnings by conducting staff meetings, bible studies, and prayer meetings. LGCC started with a core group of nineteen who assisted Bishop Langford with extraneous duties of operating the church. Shortly after, Bishop Langford established the Ministerial Alliance later renamed the Ministerial Council and the Church Council which serves as the highest Church Tribunal.
After eleven years of serving and fulfilling God’s purpose, LGCC has been blessed to grow its membership to fifty-seven members. Bishop Langford has baptized twenty-four of God’s children and licensed one minister, trained four ministers and six deacons, developed eighteen ministries within the church, and created an environment that is spirit-filled with the teachings and preaching of sound doctrine and theological principles. His leadership has influenced the LGCC family to partner with various organizations such as Schertz Area Senior Center, Covenant Children’s Home of Texas, and One By One Ministries. As a result of their partnership, they have help provide lunches for needy senior citizens; help provide advice, comfort and security to abused and neglected children in San Antonio and surrounding areas; offer resources to unwed pregnant women and their unborn child, educate them with life skills, and provide spiritual guidance and mentorship. For the fruit of his labor a higher mantle of authority was granted to Bishop Langford by the instruction of the Holy Spirit. On April 30, 2022, he was consecrated as a Bishop.
Bishop Langford attained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Science from Troy University in Alabama, dual Master of Art Degrees one in Theology and the other in Pastoral Counseling from Guadalupe Baptist Theological Seminary. He is a licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor and member of the National Christian Counselors Association. He has also served in the military and retired after twenty years of honorable service. He is committed to exemplifying a Christ-like lifestyle that will lead the lost to the Father’s saving grace, to maintaining a character of integrity, to being a godly husband and father, and serving as well as loving the people of God. His motto is “Walk by faith and allow patience to have its perfect work; humble is the way”.
Bishop Harvey L. Langford Jr is married to Lady Carolotta A.M. Forester-Langford. They have six children, three daughters, three sons, thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
